Blood Test Results

So I'm posting all this information so I can find it again and so I can get opinions.  I am always curious about other people's blood work and test results, so I'm going to assume everyone else is as crazy as I am too :)

February P+7 (took HCG on P+3, 5, 7, 9)
TSH    1.52
Progesterone    21.4
Estradiol     130

January P+7  (took HCG on P+3, 5, 7, 9)
Progesterone      19.8
Estradiol      172

December - didn't take HCG so didn't have P+7 blood test

November P+7 (took HCG on P+5, 7, 9, 11)
Vitamin B      299
Progesterone     20.0
Estradiol      88

I think I was reading on another blog that you can tell if you ovulated or not by the progesterone levels.  Is that true?  And does taking HCG throw that off?

I'm contemplating having a lap.  I would really like to know for sure is I have endo before I start packing my bags and heading to Omaha.  I am thinking about having a lap local just to be sure. Has anyone ever done that?

I was looking at my chart today and it is the saddest looking chart ever.  I don't think I've ovulated.  I wonder, if I did or if I will.  Guess we'll find out in 9-10 days, because without HCG that's how short my LP is.

  1. Oh boy, your chart looks familiar to me :) I have crap mucus cycles. I'm not sure about the Progesterone and O, but I'd like to say I've NEVER had numbers that good in the year I've had P+7 draws -ever. Now I feel like I suck, haha.
I had a lap locally. I was referred to a NaPro surgeon by my 1st NaPro Dr. I'm now 4 cycles out from the lap (where she did find Endo. and nothing else) and we're still trying to get my cycles/ numbers straightened out.

  2. Two things stand out to me....one is your TSH is that the only thyroid lab they ran on you? and two your B12 is awful. the US has one of the lowest ranges for B12, meaning the bottom of the range is very low. B12 should be around five to eight hundred. :)

  4. Can't know for sure if you're ovulating based on labs. When you have a LUF, your progesterone will rise as if you ovulated normally. Ultrasound will definitively say if you've ovulated.

  5. Lap is the only way to really confirm endo. If you have a good local Napro doc that you trust, I'd say do the lap there. Otherwise, I wouldn't chance it...I had surgery with a different doc prior to PPVI, and all that doc did was create more mess. But like I said, if you have a good local doc, then I would say go for it. Sometimes they are even able to get all the endo during the lap so you don't need a big surgery. Hopefully that is the case for you! The laparascopy surgery is easy peasy, I thought so anyway. Yeah it hurts but recovery time is really short and the pain is much more tolerable than the big surgery.

  6. I'm always rated as a poor charter so I'm soooo bad at looking at charts. Probably too because my charts are complicated with very, very little mucus. You are in my prayers!

  8. I am glad I did my lap in omaha, personally, due to scar tissue (there is less with his techniques) and it was part of my whole work up. They also took cultures and did an hsg during it among other things, all specific to how he works. It was "one stop shopping" in my book, so I was happy with it. As far as ovulation, not sure what the levels need to be. Its been awhile for me, but they are drawing monthy again so I should know soon. I have very short post peak phase unmedicated, but I have LUFS (don't ovulate) and I know that is one sign. This was confirmed through my ultrasound series, done in Omaha at the same time as my surgery. Were you also asking about tail end brown bleeding? Can't remember who asked about this, thought it was you. If so, you may want to search it on my blog and then email me. I have lots of info.
